Q: Do you guarantee your work?

A: Yes, We guarantee our repairs for as long as you own your car.

Q: How long will it take to repair my car?

A: Repair times vary, given the severity of the damage. We are happy to keep you posted on the progress of your vehicle’s repairs.

Q: How long have you been in business?

A: We have been doing business in the Des Moines metro area since 1981.

Q: What insurance companies do you work with?

A: We work with all insurance companies.

Q: What happens if you find additional damage once you have started repairs?

A: If additional damage is found, we will inform you or your insurance company of the supplementary damage. Upon receiving authorization, we will continue repairs.

Q: How long after my car is painted can I wash it?

A: Your car can be hand washed at any time once repairs are completed. However, we discourage the use of automated wash facilities for at least 30 days.

Q: Do you have loaner cars available?

A: We have Enterprise-Rent-a-Car and Hertz Rental that have arranged for special rates for our customers. We are also happy to give you a ride anywhere within a 25 mile radius of the shop.

Q: Will my car be clean when I get it back?

A: All cars are hand washed before you pick up your car. We will also thoroughly clean the interior, vacuum the carpets, and clean the windows.

Q: What kind of cars do you repair?

A: We repair all types of vehicles, both foreign and domestic.

Q: Will the parts be ordered before I drop off my vehicle for repair?

A: Yes. We are happy to order the parts for your vehicle at the time we write the estimate, and schedule your repairs for when the parts are in stock.

Q: If my vehicle's frame is damaged is it a total loss?

A: No. A car is a total loss only when the price of repairs exceeds the insurance company’s determined value of your vehicle, Most newer cars are built using unibody (frame and body as one) construction. Our highly skilled technicians can return your vehicle to its original factory specifications. If it is determined that a frame section is bent beyond repair, that section can simply be replaced.

Q: Can you match the paint color?

A: Today’s modern factory finishes incorporate multiple layers of highly specialized paints. Ted’s Body Shop, Inc has made a major investment in the finest paint system available and constantly upgrades its technology and equipment to ensure that each vehicle’s paint matches. We take special pride in our ability to match factory finishes as the final step in the repair process.

Q: Can I get other repairs done on my vehicle while it is in the body shop?

A: Yes. Just let your estimator know what other work you would like so that he or she can make the necessary arrangements.

Q: How will I know when my car is ready for pick up?

A: When your vehicle has gone through all the appropriate, quality control checks, we will contact you and make arrangements for pick up.
